ArtPrints FAQ

Buyers

Applied ArtWorks is a venue, not a retailer; the role of Applied ArtWorks is to connect the buyer and seller. This means that when you place an order on ArtPrints – whether for limited edition prints, photography prints, or other, you are entering into a direct transaction with an individual seller, facilitated by ArtWorks. We encourage the two parties to work together to succesfully complete the transaction.

How do I get started?
Browse the website and once you have found an item you are interested in, add it to the Cart. Follow the Shopping Cart process to proceed with your order.

Is Applied ArtWorks only for Canadian artists?
No, not at all. We are a Canadian-based organization, but our goal is to sell not only Canadian art prints but to help artists from around the world to sell art prints of all types, including limited-edition prints, non-limited edition prints, Canadian art prints, fine art photography prints, illustrations, paintings and more.

How do I find art or an artist?
Use the search tool at the top of the website to look for Items or Artists by entering keyword(s) in the search field.

How do I buy work?
In ArtPrints, when you find a work you would like to purchase, simply click the 'Add to Cart' button. Add as many artworks as you would like, before checking out. At Checkout you will be asked to confirm your shipping address, payment method and total.

What forms of payment are accepted?
The accepted methods of payment are Visa, MasterCard, American Express (Canada only) and PayPal.

What do I do in the case of a dispute over payment, deliver or quality?

We hope that your shopping experience on ArtWorks is smooth and hassle-free. In the event of a transaction dispute, ArtWorks encourages the buyer and seller to resolve the situation through ArtWorks Conversations. Please see the Dispute section of the ArtWorks User Agreement for more details.

If a buyer receives an item that is significantly different from the original listing, the buyer should first contact the seller. If the buyer and seller are unable to resolve the situation, then for certain eligible transactions the buyer may file a report with Applied ArtWorks within a reasonable time frame. Please see the Disputes—Dissatisfaction With an Item section in the ArtWorks User Agreement for more details.
